Alyssa Carrio, the creator of Essencia Organics FOC, is a consummate professional and has a life of exposure and enrichment over a nineteen year period in the world of skin care, beauty products, and applications.

Initially, starting as a Cosmetologist and over a ten year period shifting into skincare and advanced skin training at the International Dermal Institute in Washington, D.C. Subsequently in 2001 she did advanced makeup at the Marlene Kurland Makeup Agency in Owings Mill, MD doing makeup for TV, Movies, and Magazines.

In 2002 her makeup work was published by Image Media International in the U.S and Europe in their publications, “ Color Passion, Volume 4 “ and “ Men's Passion, Volume 62. She is currently listed in Strathmores Who’s Who of Outstanding Professionals in her field and recently received an award for outstanding Skincare Specialist from the National Association of Professional Women.

She has taught at the Connecticut Institute for Hair and currently teaches makeup application and Skincare. Amongst her other credentials are a Virginia Licensed Master Esthetician, Virginia Licensed Advanced Waxing, West Virginia Licensed Esthetician, Licensed Makeup Artist and Advanced training in Aromatherapy.
